We are doing this petition to ensure that cheering will remain a sport. With the recent change we are not allowed to stand on the sidelines and or stomp and strike the bleachers which originated amongst African Americans in the 1970’s. Without those things how is it even considered cheering? We take pride in cheering and time, hard work, and dedication only to become spectators and not be able to do what we love which is cheer. We are sending this to the President of the James River District Wayne Hawkins.
