Do not take away Parent’s freedom to watch their kid's extra-curricular activities

Parents should be allowed to watch their kids sports and have fun together. If someone is scared of covid let them chose to stay home.

I agree with everything in this petition. We have the right to choose, to watch out kids play sports or not watch. And the risk is so very low.

Parents should be allowed to watch their kids play! Maybe just require a mask and have them spread out. People know the risks of Covid. Let people be responsible for their own health!

I do not think it is right that parents rights have been taken away from supporting their children in extra curricular activities. It should be their choice. Also there is plenty of room in a gym for people to spread out and not be shoulder to shoulder to other people. Please reconsider the guidelines for this situation. Thank you.

These drastic measures have never taken place for the flu. This particular event coming up for us would just be me only (not our entire family) taking my daughter to a ballroom competition an hour away and I either have to drop her off (because I don’t want her to ride in a car with other kids her age early in the morning on icy Idaho roads) and pay a fee to watch from my car for half a day or drive home an hour, miss some of her events, and pay a fee to watch on my computer and then drive an hour both ways pick her up later. Then I can’t be there help her with costumes, etc. or take pictures or video. To say we have invested lots of time and money in her activity is an understatement. Each child participant should be able to have at least one person there to support and cheer them on. We can wear mask, sanitize our hands, and be at a careful distance for the safety of ourselves and others but this is more about control than a virus and it has to stop. People are suffering from other things, that will have far worse consequences in the end.

Our rural community centers around our school. We can easily socially distance with masks in our gyms with limited attendance.

If we can all cram into Walmart & Costco, we can allow parents to socially distance with masks on in the bleachers & watch their kids play. As parents, we will never get these moments back With our children & I would like to be able to see my child cheer. The bleacher are far big enough to seat people apart & still allow parents to watch.

Please let kids play and parents watch!! The kids are suffering way to much from all of this!! Let let at least have a parent to cheer for them!

What should have been a public service announcement turned into a huge overreach by government officials. We have a right to gather so let us.
