Current student housing is overbuilt with others being built now. Students are transient renters and will not fully occupy at a rate beneficial to the owner/builder/managers. This will lead to dropping rental rates to compete with each other; this will result in the small rental property owners in the neighborhoods in dropping their rates in order to compete. This will have an impact on the makeup of those neighbor hoods. Save the Mill, and restore it to a facility beneficial to the surrounding revitalizing work like the Battery, Tupelo Honey, etc.

Walnut St. is a main thru-way to Down town and could be a hugh Asset to both Johnson City, ETSU,and the residential area very near-by.

Walnut Street is the corridor linking ETSU to downtown. Although I appreciate the Chambers efforts to bring a new development to Mill Site, I do not believe the apartment complex is the best for a longer term vibrate city. We need something that attracts people who wish to stay in the area an establish small business (or large) not transient residents. We have just lost a small business on this site which provided at least 4-5 jobs.

Johnson City is growing to be such an amazing city! The one thing we don't need though is more housing...Walnut Street is an amazing connection from ETSU to downtown. If we want to bring life to downtown, we need something in that space that attracts more people down Wanut St.

Just leave it as B2 zoning. Anyone that has the money to build on that property will provide the parking. There is enough acreage to provide the parking. I

This important property could be used much more effectively to enhance downtown Johnson City instead of providing still more mediocre housing and traffic congestion to the area.
