It is estimated that over 20,000 residents of Broome County, New York are in danger of losing their health insurance with the repeal of the ACA, and
as the majority of those residents are senior citizens and children, and
as you were elected to represent ALL of the residents of Broome County, New York,
the signatures appearing on this petition, representing residents of Broome County, New York, demand that you vote against any change to, or repeal of, The Affordable Care Act unless such change or repeal is immediately enhanced or replaced with comparable health insurance guaranteeing continuous health insurance coverage for your constituents.

While you campaigned on the repeal/replace promise, we have yet to see any information about your plan to improve the ACA. Release the details!
The ACA IS working and helping millions of people. It could use some help to reduce drug costs but it does NOT need to be replaced. Millions will suffer including my son who has Juvenile diabetes. Please listen to the majority of your constituents and do not vote to repeal and replace.
I live in Binghamton, NY, a city suffering the worst of an opioid addiction epidemic. One of my closest friends has cancer and is alive today and with her family thanks to the care she receives through the ACA. P.S. no one is paying me or anyone I know for stating our political opinions.
Please stand with the needy in your district who depend on the insurance for life saving medical care. It is far from perfect, why not leave your mark by making it better instead of eliminating it?
I do hope you will be willing to work across party lines to understand what it is that average people have been worried about. ACA needs improvement. Your solutions will hurt most people. If you really care about your constituents, you would never consider Ryan's voucher "plan". This can be fixed.

As a nurse practitioner I urge you to consider your constituents who finally were able to procure health care insurance because of the ACA!
