Do Not Kill South End Foxes.

This is a careless and thoughtless action which needs to immediately be reevaluated. It is not right to spread imbalance. Science should figure out WHY this out break is happening to save lives and prevent it in the future.

Indiscriminate killing is not the solution to anything.

There are other ways, prove you’ve looked into them and explain why this is the way to go. You’ll have a very hard time. Do better.

There has to be a more humane way to resolve this issue.

I am a lifelong Mainer and resident of Richmond. I implore the city of Bath to use reason and measure in approaching how to manage the recent spate of rabies in foxes. Killing indiscriminately is not only sickening cruel, the science shows this method will do nothing to eliminate the issue. What is called for is vaccination. Do the right thing, do the smart thing, do the effective thing.

I understand that There are ways to innoculate against rabies using food with oral vaccine that I have heard of. Has this been suggested and researched?

This is not an acceptable answer to the issue and a shame that we cannot use science and technology in this day and age in a way that is compassionate to all beings.

Killing all the fox is not the solution. They are important to the eco system. Many of the females are pregnant now. You need to find another solution than barbaric killing of many healthy species of wildlife that will be caught in the traps. Not all fox are rabid.

Please, let's be more humanely, we know they are out there with an "illness", so experts, please find a better solution than killing them... In the mind while, let's be careful and alert!

Why would you kill every captured animal? You could put out rabies vaccine laced pellets.

I AM OUTRAGED AT THIS PROPOSAL TO “TRAP & EUTHANIZE” what will ultimately be nothing short of the senseless slaughter of healthy Fox!

This is the year 2020 !! It is WRONG & UNACCEPTABLE to abuse, torture & kill innocent animals !
