This facility is an essential lifeline for the rural economy of the Highlands and Islands and should remain open. Alternative services outwith the Highlands are likely to prove impossible for the areas crofters and farmers, particularly in the winter months when severe weather can already have a significant negative impact on our rural community.

Needs to be kept open for the highlands we have lot of crofters and farm about so tests are nearer and helps solve diseases so it does not spread the further away it is longer for samples to get there and gives time for disease to develope .

Do not close this facility as it is an integral part of life in the Hoghlands & Islands. Without it the community, crofters and farmers especially, would be losing an invaluable service. Edinburgh is a long way from here!!!!!!

Have used service on many occasions particularly at lambing time. Gives peace of mind that lab is there when you need it and only a thirty min drive.

Please keep the Inverness branch open - it is vital for many.

It would be disastrous to close the Inverness branch, as it covers a massive geographical area. Also their would be a significant cost of fuel for farmers etc if they had to travel all the way to Edinburgh. Please keep the branch open in Inverness.

It is said that this lab serves the most holdings but has fewest examination. Could distance be a factor? Will this huge area be better served? Of course not!
