This school is a hidden gem. They are doing great things there and the parents and students live it. Keep it open!!

Gilbert is the best place for my son Amari. It is a close-knit small school that gives me a sense of comfort when I take him to school. I believe moving Amari to a bigger school will be a distraction for him which is why I choose Gilbert. Amari loves his computer class and his teacher does an awesome job with his challenges. Save our school!

I can not support closing any school until the Minisitry of Education can empirically show that such an action will improve student academic performance.

I went to school at Gilbert some 56 years ago . There is a solution to every problem, closing the school is will not fix these problems, it will just create new one's. Sounds like the board of education needs some new faces to deal with these challenges.

My son Zach spent his first 2 years of school at Gilbert before leaving the island for England - the education, staff and other pupils (and parents) were absolutely awesome. It is a wonderful school in every way and it would be a disaster to close it. Please keep this amazing school open!

This school gave me the best education! So much so that I entered middle school advanced in both Math and English at an M3 (third year) level. I was also able to learn how to read, comprehend, and thus learn/ "teach myself". This made it possible for me to be home schooled for high school after the public system failed for me (at the middle school level). My basis of learning, with a strong foundation, came from my years at Gilbert Institute. Please don't shut this school! It plays such a crucial role for so many children.

We really need all our school to stay open! Our children are the future of Bermuda. There has to be some other way to deal this problem.
