My children attended this school and I have visited this school on many occasions The standards of polite and caring students is exceptional. I was treasurer of the PTA in the 70s and I say Please Do Not Close Gilbert

Gilbert Institute is a quality school and should not be closed. The work that is done there should be celebrated not dismissed.

my daughter loves her school and its intimacy!! plzz find a way to not close the school just to sell the land as( rumour has it) govt already got a buyer..

A reform on our educational system is clearly needed, however, I fail to see how closing a good school will help solve this. Please keep this wonderful school open.

I have only good memories of Gilbert! Class of 2000.

It would be a sad day when one of Bermuda's oldest and MOST successful primary schools is closed for what is not a particularly good for viable reason. Our root education is very important and a lot of very successful Bermudian received such root education from Gilbert Institute.

Please do not close Gilbert Institute. Gilbert has a vital role in our community as a school which caters to students with hearing impairments. Additionally, students are able to find their voice at Gilbert, perhaps because of its small size. Gilbert is a great school, with students who do well, academically and socially. Please don't close something that works for the population that it services!

Don't close the School.

The government need to prioritize budget and education is an absolute right!

I attended Gilbert It is a great school. They need to keep it open because the teachers will lose their jobs. The children that live right by the school will probably have to travel to the other side of the island to go to school. I think that is totally not fare at all

This is one of the best schools with a smaller amount of cure a that is best for ther adjustment for learning. It reduces the anxiety and fear they get in a school community that is large. Some student will no excell in the larger school environment. Historically it would be a great loss as it has been around for a long time and is well supported by he community and past students.

Where are the children with special needs supposed to go? Not just hearing impaired but a wide range of different services are offered to children who cannot function is larger school settings. PLEASE DO NOT SHAFT THESE CHILDREN'S FUTURE!!

The only real school kids are learning at and it's affordable to those families nwho can't afford schooling.. Open your eyes Bermuda...
