I am familiar with the good results and work of another Job Corps in the State. This is a great program for the community, job creator and trains our youth in needed job skills, as well as responsibility. The decision to close this facility is unwise and shortsighted. As an employer that seeks skilled workers already trained in professional behavior I have been impressed with the Job Corps and think it is one of the best government programs there is; great bang for the buck.

I was the State Coordinator for 12 years for the Job Corps program. We have seen thousands of students successfully complete their education and obtain a career working in the field they studied and completed at Anaconda. Don't shut this site down. There are limited training sites that teach welders, heavy equipment mechanics and operators around the great state of Montana.

This is a historically good performing center within 45 minutes of major airline and bus routes and takes pride in working with youth their is no advantage of closing it as demand for skilled workers is high

These centers provide help to a desperately at-risk group of young people while also benefitting the greater community and forest service itself.
It’s so important to keep this Job Corps and others like it.
