Do NOT Charge Indiana School bus driver

I drive a school bus as well and know Ray. That morning the sun was very bright for me. I could understand it causing problems in another driver. I don't think Ray should be charged for anything. I believe we should just praise Ray for hitting the trash truck instead of hitting the oncoming car head on and thank God no one was seriously hurt.

Please do not charge Ray with anything except caring for our children. He is an exceptionally friendly and warm person. I have known him for 30+ years, and I know that I am no one to you, to have you accept my word, but please consider all of these comments of more who know him. He is a good and decent man, and an accident is an accident.. I think the comment from one of the people above who suggested that the garbage truck routes run after the school buses are off the roads is an excellent idea...

I've almost hit Rumpke truck a couple times on 350 due to sun in my eyes and they stop the truck get more than one driver Rumpke and don't stop and get out in a dip

I rode his bus all through high school. It was always safe, and he was always kind.

Scary and sad situation, but 100% uncontrollable. It would be adsurd to charge him for anything. I guarantee anyone that has traveled 350 at this time of day has been blinded by the sun just the same and knows that it can happen in the blink of an eye. It could've happened to any of us, sadly this time it just so happened to be him behind the wheel. People are always looking to start crap, sue someone or charge somebody with something.... and the news just makes everything a horror story... instead we should be kind, loving and caring human beings, supporting him through this rough time.

You will never meet a more hard-working, kind, devoted, and compassionate person as Ray Nies!

I have known Ray most if my life. I know he would never intially harm or put anyone in danger. Someone who has dedicated his life to this area and is just an all around good person does not deserve to be charged for an accident.

Ray is one of the most caring people I know. He would definitely never put anyone's life in danger intentionally. This accident will haunt him for the rest of his life, he will punish himself enough. He certainly shouldn't be charged.

I have known Ray for many years and see his bus pass my home each day on S.R. 350 and is never speeding.

Ray is a GREAT person and GREAT bus driver!!!!!! He doesn't deserve to be charged when it was an accidents!!!!!!!!! Ray was my bus driver and he was a great driver then and is today!!!!!!!!!!

He is the best driver I have ever had. I am 40 years old and he was my bus driver when I was in elementary and high school

After riding with him my first time riding a bus and for years I stand behind him 100%. I would get in any vehicle with him today.
