EVT as it was once called is a great school and has provided many former students with a sturdy foundation for those entering a vocational/technical trade as well as college. As an alumni of of this great school, I urge BCPS to tread carefully and make the right decision that will bennifit both the students and the skills gap that our country is currently undergoing.

Dont try to fix what isnt broken!! Im thankful for the opportunities given to me that I credit Eastern in providing for me. We are screwing up society enough...dont allow what Eastern has stood for since 1970 be thrown away! The world needs Eastern!!!

I support this petition, but as for BCPS...they are going to do what ever they need to despite this and any input. They did it to Eastwood and others schools too. I wish you all the best, but it's a lose lose situation.

Please keep Eastern Tech the way it is. It is a wonderful school to have the opportunity to go to and losing its magnet programs would take the chance to attend a school like this away from so many future students.
