We, the undersigned, have concern with the proposed changes to the “Rules and Regulations” of DNA 1 owners. These rules have been arbitrarily changed by the elected board members without any consultation with the owners.
We feel that while some of these rules are a positive change, there are several that go too far in terms of restrictions, and give the board too much unchecked control over future amendments.
Under Section 46(1) of the Condominium Act, 1998, which states:
A requisition for a meeting of owners may be made by those owners who at the time the board receives the requisition, own at least 15% of the units, are listed in the record maintained by the corporation under subsection 47(2) and are entitled to vote. 1998 c.19, s. 46(1).
Therefore, we, the undersigned, request the board to hold a meeting of the owners of units in DNA 1 to consult with us on the proposed changes, hold a vote on the proposed changes, take into account our concerns, and make any appropriate changes to the proposed changes.

The board thought they could steamroll us in silence but the momentum behind this petition proves they cannot hide from their own owners anymore. They are clearly feeling the heat because we refusal to accept their arrogant power grab without a fight.
