DLIFLC Locality Back Pay

It will be reasonable to pay what we deserve.

Yep, you guys deserve it!

I do support this petition in benefit of all of my colleaques in the FPS system. However, when the locality was paid, most of these employees's salaries doubled what the GS employee recieve despite their prolonged service, and dedication to the DLI institute. When each of the FPS employees was hired, he/she received a salary not less than 48k - 72k, with the locality increase their salaries jumped over the mentioned numbers. The GS employees were hired from 18k to 23k a year , no matter what small percentage of increase they have in their annual pays it will never reach what each of the FPS are receiving now. Both groups, the FPS and the GS employees are living in the same area "Monterey" and are suffering just as the same, and both need to be treated fairly and justly. It is really painful for me and others to see an employee what was hired yesterday and had no experience what so ever to makes a double salary of what I recieves after 25 years service. I completely support the petition, yet I am asking for my rights too. Please be fair and treat us equally, otherwise it is called "Discriminations!"

I have learned that the US Government has been a fair and just employer. It leads , others follow.

I feel more fair if all faculty and staff will receive locality pay from Jan. 2001 to July 2017. I start working at March 2003 at DLI presidio.

We need to stand for our rights in the land of the free. All Employees whom "lived" in Monterey, CA in the past years starting from 2001 need to check this ... This is your right and your money ... Other federal employees where getting the locality, for example the NPS. Spread the word ... thank you.

I believe that the government will not hesitate to return back the teachers rights at Defense language Institute especially during this great administration in Washington which always fight for America and American to be great

Monterey Bay Area was included in the San Francisco Bay Area locality pay in 2001. However, faculty at the Defense Language Institute have not been pay the locality supplement until July 2017. Please support this request that locality pay be paid properly for the time preceding July 2017. Thank you very much for your support!

Of course I agree with this request - DLI faculty and staff - who are part of the Faculty Pay System (FPS) - deserve their locality pay.

I support this fully. DLI employees weren't paid fairly one year and then 20% behind the next ; the gap in pay built up over time. Also, the pay gap was first acknowledged several years before it was approved - DoD knew the problem existed.

I support it 100% and we have been waiting for long time to get our pay back locality. It is the time to fix it and correct it for all of us !
