One of the reasons I left my tenured position at DLI because of low pay & poor management practices. I fully support this petition.

Please don't think that by establishing locality pay last year, DLIFLC command group is doing us a favor. They are merely trying to correct a wrongdoing and the unjust treatment that reigned supreme for a long time. Please don't thank anybody for granting you your basic rights. They have yet to pay you back for treating you in a condescending manner and discriminating against you, while all of your GS colleagues have gotten that right a long time ago. This is not a case of technical oversight or a mishap that occurred when moving faculty from GS to FPS, this is a CLEAR case of discrimination.
Stand by your union and make your voice heard
This is the United Stated of America and no ONE should be discriminated against.

It is an act of clear discrimination for DLIFLC to grant locality pay to our GS colleagues, while we, FPS cadre who are at the forefront of supporting the mission, are deprived of it. GS or FPS, we should all get the same treatment and paying some is a clear act of discrimination.
Please file a class lawsuit based on discrimination. There are colleagues holding same positions but under the GS schedule and they enjoyed locality pay all this time. Makes you wonder: what do they possess that we don’t???
