The fact that the JCPS play needs a petition in order to be funded is outright idiocracy. The students of the previous installment provided a display unimaginable from young actors. The singing and acting of the cast blew me away with every scene of Les Mis. The emotions were genuine and moving, and only true talent can do so. Not funding this play would be ridiculously inconsiderate, not only to the actors, but to the families that want to watch their children do what they love

The fact that there should be a petition to have the opportunity of creating another JCPS play is ridiculous in itself. The arts is an essential to our lives, with classical plays shaping our literature and our entertainment to this day. Allowing striving students to embark on another installment of their passions in singing dancing and acting should not require a petition to be put into motion. Watching Les Mis made me realize this, and with the correct cast it could project emotions one could not think of having from a play casted by students. Fund it

Enjoyed the show last year and it was great to see former students who were performing. Hope to keep going to more similar shows in the future.

I saw the district performance of Les Miserable and it was fantastic! The students were so talented. Musical theater is very important.

We never got the chance to petition against the ending of elementary school chorus and fifth grade orchestra and band. I'm glad I can help out even a little bit for you guys.

Theatre and other art programs provide students with productive outlets for their creativity and energy. These students work hard on their craft. It also helps them develop social skills and discipline. We watched the musical Les Miserables which was an excellent production.

theater is a really important way for people to escape and enjoy themselves. children in this day and age need that experience to be free and happy, especially when things can be stressful.

The Arts are an essential component of building strong citizens and thinkers. Hopefully this error in judgment is rectified.
