Having had both my children involved in their respective high school theater productions, I understand the importance of and the valuable skills acquired being involved in a theater production. It is not always quantifiable, and there's no standardized test to measure it's value, however, the joy of teamwork in producing a show teaches innumerable life lessons.
I urge you to support this project and find the funds to make this happen for our local students. Mayor Fulop professes that Jersey City is a haven for artistic types, and there's no better way than to promote that creativity in our students.
Sincerely,
Jo Ellen Racioppo

I loved theatre as a kid (and still do), and I hope Jersey City students will have the opportunity to love it as well.

This district should learn how to appreciate all forms of art a lot more. Academics should remain a primary focus but we cannot allow everything else to go onto the way side.

Please! Funding for the arts is so important, especially as Common Core has taken over even more of the classroom time.

This would be amazing for the kids. Musical theatre helps kids grow, deal with mental illness and make new friends.

The students enjoyed being a part of it last year as well as supporting their friends by attending the show. Let the music play on and on and on!!!!
