If social media companies can take the steps they have to discourage texting while riding horses, they should do the same for people driving cars. It's only fair.

Highly recommend "A Deadly Wandering" by Matt Richtel - excellent book that interweaves a compelling personal narrative about distracted driving with the science of attention

It's not the teens - it's adults I see. It's not just texted or looking at phone, it's talking with only one or no hands on the steering wheel! My husband was killed by a sleeping or distracted truck driver. Don't be that driver who leaves kids without their daddy just becuyou thought you could multi-task behind when you should have been driving!

The recent crash of the driver using Snapchat is proof that social media is encouraging reckless and dangerous driving

I strongly support the cause to have social media companies discourage use of the mobile apps while driving.

Dear social media companies, Please use your influence for good. We all benefit from safer streets. Your families, just like ours, are sharing the road with "blind" drivers.

This is enormously important. I support all reasonable methods of discouraging distracted driving.

A $1,000 fine for texting while driving. Then in a course in civic responsibility.

This is so important. My daughter was killed by a negligent driver. We need to keep our roads safe so more tragedies don't happen.

Is it possible to disable the use of cell phones while driving? People who injure or kill others while engaging in this irresponsible behavior should know they will serve LONG prison sentences. Those of us who leave our phones in our purses and pockets while driving deserve protection from these idiots.

It would also be great if the app would re-iterate that using electronic devices other than naviagation systems is illegal and can be fined.
