One of my brothers and I were just talking this evening about how our family will never be "OK" after the deaths of our brother and sister-in-law at the hands of a distracted driver. It's been almost 8 years, and in some ways, it gets worse, not better. It is particularly painful to watch the impact of this senseless act on our niece and nephew, who are young adults.

I was just rear ended last week by a distracted driver eating! Good news- no one hurt!

Every morning when I go out to walk my dog, on average more than 90% of the people I see behind the wheel of a car are either talking on their phone or looking down at their phone. There may be a "no texting law "but I don't see less texting or cell phone use.

cars are to get you from one place to another. They are not for you to talk on the phone, text, put on your make up, shave, eat, etc. All lives matter
