The park is indeed of maintenance, but would it not be even safer on the town park where passers by would see if anyone got hurt. I attend the athletics club and have seen a few riders hurt. And the club has helped them. I'm a first aider my self and always willing to help. What if we aren't at the track and your child was hurt and on there own left on the skate park. It's a bit grim but they could be there unconscious for a long while. As a parent I would want to know that someone could walk past and help. The council have stuck the park at the furthest point away from town. Why? My idea of a safer skate park would be one in the park riders are safe and seen.

Hopefully i'm going to try organize another jam for next year but going to need a lot more help this time as the council did me a one off insurance offer last time and said they couldnt do it again, i can sort out music licences and such but may need a couple people to do a bit of leg work if i'm working meetings with the council etc over using the facilities electric and toilets, the park could definitely use some TLC Ground wise and re-set a couple of ramps so they're not sinking into the ground, and new skatelite on the mini side, maybe even do away with the roll in as hardly anybody uses it and it would free up a larger space on the deck so it would be safer, i hope people jump on this as together as a community we can actually get things done. Excellent idea you lot, give me a shout if anybody is up for another jam.
