We are calling for the removal of Nancy Ladner from her position as the Girls Basketball Coach at Harrison Central High School in Gulfport, MS. This is not a decision we take lightly, but it is one that has been driven by a series of concerns about her integrity, safety of the children, coaching methods and impact on our students. The role of a coach extends beyond just teaching sports skills; they are responsible for fostering an environment that is safe, encourages personal growth, teamwork, and respect among players and all others. This is not a personal attack on Coach Ladner but a rather call for change based of what has been observed. Unfortunately, many in our community feel that this has not been achieved under Ms. Ladner's leadership. The team's records of winning championships have been below par during her leadership, and we believe under new leadership our girls can achieve more success. We believe that our girls deserve a coach who can provide them with the best possible experience during their time at Harrison Central High School for the betterment of their future in this sport. Therefore, we urge the school administration to consider this petition seriously and make a change in leadership for the betterment of our students' athletic experience and personal development.
