For a technicality their case should surely be looked at on its own merits. A hardworking, honest family contributing so much to their local community. Assuming the store is holding its own financially we should all be rallying round to support their case: and a Commonwealth country too ?! I'm from another village which has recently lost its village store (10 miles for a pint of milk now) this family more than deserves to stay.

This family have integrated into the local community and contribute our rural and Scottish economy. There are others staying illegally in the Uk and Scotland that should be deported or ejected.
We need people like this enterprising, honourable and contributing family in the Highlands. We are about equality and diversity so let them stay. Losing them and their well set up community business will deplete Newtonmore and lead to more isolation and loneliness of vulnerable people in the community who can't access other means of shopping.

This family were providing an essential local service - a shop in a small isolated village. The politicians obviously don't understand the value of such a contribution in a rural area. Expecting them to provide two full-time jobs is completely unrealistic. Please re-assess the rules and let them stay!

Having been to Laggan many times I have only got admiration for them. They are providing a vital service for the village- the only shop for miles around. They should be allowed to stay. It is just a technicality that is saying otherwise. Come on Britain. Show the world we do have compassion and do care.
