Unbelievable! We are DESPERATE to keep families in the Highlands - this is yet another terrible judgement which will add to the problem of half empty schools and dying communities. They are not a drain on the country - they are a genuine asset. We should be begging them to stay!

This is ridiculous. The Highlands suffer from under population and underinvestment and this family have moved into the area and started a business. Apply a bit of common sense and let them stay.

Another instance of disregarding the value of immigrants in order to satisfy numerical criteria that disadvantages not only the immigrants concerned, but the community in which they live! What a stupid world we live in!

Coming from another small Highland town which sadly lost its local village shop, I despair at the short sightedness of this decision. Village shops are hubs in small villages, without them communities drift apart. Tearing this out, and killing off a job at the same time, whilst removing children who have been born and brought up in Scotland from their home is a travesty. Forcing a family who have invested in Scotland with their hearts , work and lives out of an under populated part of Scotland in order to meet an anti immigration target which has been set in an overpopulated London is outrageous.
I truly hope this doesn't come to pass.

How can a family who have invested everything they have, to run a business which serves the community, not be considered to stay. Clearly they are educated enough to set up a successful business, how then can they be 'claimed' not to jump through the hoops to stay here.
