I enjoy the retrieves as they are now and would like to continue to be able to throw the dumbbell myself for the dog to go and get.

The rules have been watered down over the history of IPO. Not calling it Schutzhund is a disgrace in itself. Now you want to have the judge perfectly place the dumbbell? Next you'll want want a steward to comfort the dog in a long down. Leave the retrieves as is. It's the most pointed exercise n the greatest challenge for some competitors. Enough of the watering down of the sport. Leave the retrieves es as is.

I disagree with the suggested changes with the apport. Instead of theese changes look at the jumps

Attempting to make the retrieve consistent across the board devalues the handler as part of the "team." Though it is ultimately the dog we evaluate, the handler is who makes the dog look good. As a team, like in dancing the male usually works to show off the female, as in IPO the handler works to show off the dog (and all the hard work it took to get there). It is their relationship as they dance across the field that makes the sport. Remove the handler's challenge (making a good toss) and you remove part of the beauty and challenge of the sport.

The proposed changes in connection with the 3 retrieve exercises will not improve our sport. I therefore disgree with the suggested changes.

This change serves no purpose other than to water down the sport. Leave the rules they way they are.

Ne legyen módosítás az apport feladatban.

Leave the rules alone! Will cause more to use forced retrieve.

I think this will just make the exercise easier as the dogs will be lest tempted to leave the handler.
