As most residents in Die Wilgers Pretoria are aware, Telkom laid fibre earlier this year but to everyone's frustration they have not switched it on or activated it yet.

We have had many discussions with them about switching it on and the constant response we receive is that there is not enough interest to make it economically viable. Instead, they say, we have to petition them to switch it on, to show that there is sufficient interest for it.

We have no intention of going into the absurdity of that argument, but in order for us all to enjoy the benefits of high-speed fibre, the aim of this petition is to show Telkom that there is indeed interest in fiber in Die Wilgers and that the residents want the fibre to be switched on.

The aim is to get everyone in Die Wilgers to sign this petition, but our initial goal is to obtain at least 200 signatures.

So, if you want affordable, fast internet in Die Wilgers, then please sign this petition to show Telkom that there is indeed an interest in fibre in our area and that we want it to be switched on now!
