I logged on this morning and saw the notification about the momentum growing and I honestly just had to sit there for a minute because it is overwhelming how much people really care about what happened to the school. Maybe we can actually get someone to listen now that so many of you are speaking up about the closure.

You show direct disrespect for the Parish history and present day parents and kids. As usual, it is all about preying on the less than affluent. The ALMIGHTY $$$
This school has been around for so long. I know you may say close it because there are not many students. It is not about quantity. It is about serving All communities of Fort Worth. Once again it appears our black brothers and sister have to be the ones to sacrifice.
THIS SCHOOL WAS A BLESSING AND KEPT ME CLOSE TO MY FAMILY IN THE AREA..I MET SOME GOOD PEOPLE AND LONG LASTING RELATIONSHIPS... THIS WHERE I STARTED PLAYING ORGANIZED BASKETBALL AND LEARNED A LOT ABOUT SPORTS AND ACCOUNTABILITY! DON'T CLOSE THE SCHOOL!
Omom has been in the community for years and has been turning kids into successful adults. Options for school are limited due to the last minute notification of closing and public schools do not seem to show the dedication of doing the same for the kids that attend.
This school has been serving this community for years and it should be able to continue to do so. The people being served should also have a say in the matter. We are utilizing this resource, and to have it stripped away without any notice or input creates extra hardship.
This school is to never be closed A legion in it's time, then and now.
Whyyyyyy!!!! My mom who is 80 attended this school, me, and other family members. Why don't you expand, instead of taking away!!! Who's the genius behind this mistake? Arrrrrrggggg!!!

There should have been consultation with parents and the community before this decision was made, however, the new school should include OMM as a feeder school into the high school. It doesn't have to close. I'm sure this is purely a financial decision. Shame!
