Forget the BBWAA petty attitude.... this Man IS a Hall Of Famer based on Merit. The 60's were a different time and place, attitudes were different and a persons maturity from then should not be a factor. Dick(Richie) Allen Earned it. Cut the B.S. and give the Man is due credit. s

Besides being a great ball player, many players looked at Dick Allen as a mentor, including HOFer Mike Schmidt. As a man, his interest and kindness to baseball support staff (club house managers, bat boys, etc.) is legendary. Glad to help get the most worthy Mr. Allen in the hall!

The Baseball Hall of Fame messed this up last year by changing their rules. Now it's well past time to right this wrong.

Dick Allen has waited too long. He is one of the greatest sluggers ever to swing a bat in the history of baseball. He has hit the ball over 500 ft in a game over 30 times. I don''t think over the last 15 years with the ball being more lively that no more than one or two players have done it even once. He is a legendary slugger. A Legends should be In The Hall Of Fame. What is Cooperstown waiting for,

If the question is "Who is the best player not in the HOF who has exhausted their BBWAA eligibility?", then the answer is Dick Allen
