It saddens me to see the Diamondhead Library close. There are so many children, teens, and college students that live in Diamondhead that need these services. In addition, there are many senior citizens that had been starting to use library, but alas, the county shut it down ! Site note: The county and/or the city must sorely needs to build the proposed road directly from Diamondhead Drive East to the Library, thus making it more accessible to the community.

Our community has many school age children as well a older retired persons, that were just starting to use the library and now it has been taken away. I am so sorry that has happened. Reid Walker.

I was so excited to see a library open in Diamondhead. It was a beautiful facility. It seems a horrible waste of taxpayer money to build that beautiful building, stock it and staff it, and then close it within a couple of years.

The future of a community revolves around the education of its members. If you want a strong, progressive, and prepared community, you must put money into education. What better way to serve those who elected you than giving them back their library. I urge you to reopen this library.
