Tanzania’s music regulatory board Baraza la Sanaa la Taifa (BASATA) has banned Bongo stars Diamond Platnumz and Rayvanny from performing on any shows or organizing any concert in and outside Tanzania effective Wednesday.
BASATA announced that the musician and his WCB colleague, Rayvanny, performed the outlawed “Mwanza” song during their Wasafi Festival tours held across different regions in Tanzania recently.
We as East Africans call upon BASATA to review their decision because that's akin to killing creativity. There has been no calls of banning music from other regions on Tanzania's airwaves; whose lyrics are far much explicit.

Diamond is a creative artist and the song "Nyegezi" is not that Vulgar compares to what the videos being aired in our TVs and online platforms. This is just killing the artist creativity!
