Keep the purple and white. Let the students choose what color they want to wear.

why do we always have to change the silliest things. Purple and white is a tradition that the kids have come to know and have grown up seeing. They are the school colors. Our kids have to give up and adapt to enough in this crazy world right now. Leave the colors be. Don't take away something so simple that makes them happy.

I am DGN alum class of 1979, all 3 of my children, Kevin, Brin, and Quinn, graduated from DGN, and I too feel it is important to maintain this tradition.

It's not as much for tradition as it is for being appropriate for girls to be in white, because they wear white dresses underneath, and for boys to be in purple because it's easier for us to cover things up with purple and just have a nice shirt tie and black pants.

These students look forward to this.. these are thing that are traditions. We should not change them unless they are threatening or harmful.. so sad we have to explain this.. why take the little bit of fun from students who work so hard to graduate?

We already purchased pictures through the school that were taken in a white cap and gown, as well as a white dress for graduation. Not sure why this change is necessary. Let the students choose instead of dictating to them.

It's not fair to let such a small supgroup of people ruin a long time tradition because they're "offended." Life isn't always fair just man up and stop complaining.

Tradition for a reason. Leave it alone. Leave north and south robes alone.

Students have always had choice of purple or white previously. They are school colors, there is no reason to take this privilage away from them.

I graduated there and had no problem finding a white dress. Tradition should stay as it has for many years before me and hopefully many years after me.
