I graduated in 1985 from DG North.. I cant figure why they would want to change a long standing tradition as this one from generations of graduates.. Stop this nonsense and keep them purple and white..

I have vivid memories of then principal Fritz Wildermuth explaining the ceremony to us in advance and his being very excited about the "pageantry of color" created by the gowns in purple and white. I'd be sad to see that change. I do think it might be easier to have the guys wear the white, though, over a plain white dress shirt most probably already own, and then the girls wouldn't have to hunt for a white dress for under their gown. Just a thought to be easier for those who can't easily afford the time or money for it.

Keep the purple and white! Why would you change a tradition that's been for so many years?

I love the purple and white color scheme and hate to see it changed for my daughter's senior year. :-(

Love the purple and white. Why can't each student choose the color they want to wear?

Keep purple and white. I already have pictures with my daughter in the white gown from picture day. What do I do with those pics I ordered & paid for ? Is there going to be a retake if they change to purple????

Let tradition be. Change can be good but some things don't need to.
