What a great space for, say, a place for kids to hang out after school. Not MORE APARTMENTS

All of us living nearby this Anderson Pointe proposed development LOVE Olathe and love the beautiful, peaceful and serene quality of life experienced here. We are hard working citizens who contribute to our community in countless ways. We respect our city and its leaders and would appreciate the same respect and consideration in return. This proposed project is just too much for this corner, even down to 371 multifamily apartment units from the originally planned 411. It does not fit into the overall community plan of beautiful park land directly to the south blending into a well designed corner there at Indian Creek and Black Bob. History shows major flooding time and time again at this corner with the city of Olathe removing 4 single family homes just to the SW due to being repeatedly flooded. The extra driveways onto Indian Creek Parkway will only add to major traffic concerns and an already busy intersection. The school traffic from the 3 Olathe schools all within 1/2 mile, Indian Creek Elementary to W, Pioneer Trail to N and OEHS to E, is already intense. The traffic study that was done by the developer is flawed as it was prepared in July of 2017 when school was not in session. In addition, the safety of the parents and children walking to and from those 3 schools needs to be of paramount importance. There are already apartments and duplexes galore to the N, W and S of this proposed development with another new, such development to occur directly S of OEHS. We would greatly appreciate a better plan for this corner from this city that we love so much. Retail in the small green lot directly south of Marcos Pizza would be appropriate. Additional soccer fields and another baseball diamond or two are much needed and would be greatly utilized by all the Olathe residents. Looking forward to thoughtful and carefully considered planning at Indian Creek and Black Bob!

There are enough apartments in the area. The schools are not big enough to fit more children in them. There is already heavy traffic in the area and adding multiple families would make it worse. Cramming more low income housing into small spaces is not the best future for Olathe.

Dont sellout olathe citizens for a handful of cash again, put in some effort to make the neighborhood better. Invest in this side of olathe.

Flooding along Indian Creek and traffic in this area is already a huge concern. No need to make it worse!

Please do not allow apartments to be built inplace of the library. The traffic is bad enough with 2 schools on 127th. Adding 400 or so apartments will be a nightmare and bring down the housing values.

Very concerned about impact on traffic & schools. This development is in addition to at least two others already approved in generally same area. Understand property cannot sit idle but we can do better. Upscale patio homes that blend in with surrounding area maybe. What is being recommended is not keeping Olathe beautiful or helping property values.

Apartments at 127th and Blackbob are a terrible idea and will increase traffic to an unacceptable level in that area. I wish the library could go back in that spot.

Do not develop Blackbob & Indian Creek Pkwy with apartments. The creek cannot handle more runoff and the roads cannot handle the traffic.

The proposed development is too large, doesn't fit in with exsisting structures. It will remove valuable green space. It will cause overcrowding of schools and increase traffic.

I encourage city officials to look beyond generated revenue to the negative impact this will have on the already congested area.

Please rebuild the library. I love having the library in our neighborhood so I can walk to it.
