I understand this property can't sit vacant forever (although I wish it could), but an apartment complex is a terrible misuse of the space. If it was more low-density, like duplexes, that might work. But 4 story buildings??? That makes no sense. The last thing that Olathe needs north of 151st Street is more people.

A terrible idea. The traffic is already quite difficult. There are three schools with a block or so. Many children have to cross Black Bob or 127th, or both. It will be a major safety problem for them. Indian Creek has nearly jumped the banks a couple of times this summer without the added concrete such a project would add. The city must not continue to look for the quick buck and cater to developers. Quality of life issues must be respected if this is to remain a good place to live.

This is not good use of the land for traffic, safety and our schools. Way to close to schools to make this a good use of the land.

No more apartments; something less dense and more fitting to the residential surroundings should go there.

There is a better use for this space than overcrowding our schools and decreasing our property values!

I am all for progress and growth in the City. But we need to keep Olathe beautiful and not "bloated". There has to be a compromise. Traffic will be come a nightmare, and one can't help if flooding won't become an issue.
