It'd be a shame for the street to turn into a sleeping street. The local businesses are important to the area, and are vital to the fabric of the community in which we live and care for.

Listen to local people. That's what Planning Departments are supposed to do. There are viable alternatives that benefit the community.

Independent shops for Globe Road stop trying to globalise and kill communities for financial gain.

Enough already! Local independent shops should be supported against big business muscling in on every neighbourhood and strangling any independent enterprise. There should be laws protecting these areas and their inhabitants from the homogenisation that's being forced through to the detriment of a community for huge financial gains of a handful of people

Just as the 'shop local ' campaign is getting under way local authorities should be doing everything possible to support its objectives by preserving high street frontages.

I visited Globe Road and its wonderful local businesses all the way from Cumbria and was delighted by vibrancy and individuality. Please keep it that way!

As a frequent visitor to Globe Road and supporter of the small businesses which operate there, I wish to support this petition in the interests of the residents and business owners of this special street.

We are a knitting shop specialising in UK based yarns. We rely on customers traveling long distances, as we are a specialized craft resource. It is therefore of upmost importance to us that there is a lively community to welcome our customers. The Thai Garden restaurant was used often by our customers, as is the Larder Cafe. We are developing good relations with the Sweet tea house who will open soon, and our neighbours at 258 bring many artists to the area for their workshops. We need our neighbours openness in order to survive

Another lost retail/restaurant front in this part of lobe road would severely impair the feel of the street and be a wasted opportunity to the local commie into, who rely on these local shops to enhance their daily life.

Strongly disagree! A great restaurant location.

This property should stay a retail or restaurant business which serves the local community

changing this to semi residential would seriously undermine the viability of the current restaurant. I strongly object to B1 use as the vitality of the neighbourhood will only be protected by retail usage. This is a perfect restaurant venue for somebody to take on.
