Please reconsider this widening of Broadway. There are better options being proposed.

Please do your job, and come up with an updated plan that reflects current needs, not projections from 20 years ago that make no sense. We need a plan that is smart and will be environmentally and economically sustainable.

I usually ride my bicycle unless there's a passenger or too much cargo. The closest bike boulevard is 3rd St. Adding one south of Broadway would provide another alternative. The 4/5 editorial in the Daily Star makes compelling arguments for keeping Broadway at 5 lanes (2+2 w/ center turn.) Additionally, construction cost would be substantially lowered. Keep it simple. Make it beautiful. Michael Gordy

It makes no sense to widen Historic Broadway--and to waste money better spent elsewhere doing so.

I agree with the petition and believe this plan deserves a fresh look. I especially agree with the idea to relocate the bike routes off of Broadway.

The desire to follow through on a 20 year old plan based on predicted increased traffic that has not occurred is short sighte at best and wrong minded at worst.

Tucson, the "Destroyer of Historic Buildings"...first the downtown, then anywhere near the university, El Conquistador..etc..when will you stop?

When my family moved here in 1961 Tucson was a truly beautiful Southwestern town, it really was "The Old Pueblo". But sad to say it has not retained it's charm, in the name of progress it has become a mish-mash of ugly buildings blocking out the beautiful mountains and eating up all the gorgeous desert, turning our once lovely and unique city into just another no personality California/Florida town. Now you want to tear down more of our heritage to widen Broadway. Ask the people of Tucson how often they go downtown, I'm betting it's only when they are called for jury duty. Put the toward repairing the existing roads we already have and use daily. Thank you, Sincerely, Wendy Gallagher

I drive on Broadway all the time and there really isn't a congestion problem in my point of view. I'd rather keep and renovate the area and make it more bikeable/walkable.

Automobile traffic is shrinking. Let's not condemn historic building and contribute to unusable space based on outdated and irrelevant data. Thank you.

Please preserve historic Broadway instead of widening!

The current proposed plan would effectively make me a prisoner in my own home. I only have one way in and one way out from my property with the proposed plan making it unsafe.

Why don't you finish ruining the Grant Road widening before you start another "project"? Oh, and those potholes, too.

Please spend this money on something more worthwhile. We need to be doing more to encourage alternate transportation methods, not making it slightly more time efficient for cars.
