Intersection at Congres can not handle current volume. The Broadway extension channels down to one lane at this point.

What a waste of tax money - no more of the same old same old! Fix the damn roads we have and save taxpayers money on auto repairs!

The future is not in bigger hydrocarbon-based roads for more hydrocarbon-driven vehicles. Let's put the brakes on climate change now and design a sustainable city.

Widening only encourages MORE traffic. The continuation of Aviation to St Mary's is needed (anyone who has traveled through the Broadway/Tooled/Congress mess during rush hour is aware of this). The widening of Broadway is NOT and will only make the problem worse.

Why spend so much money for almost no benefit? Let's find a way to be community friendly.

This is counter to all the new life being pumped into the area.

We need to update our outdated thinking on Broadway. A shaded multi use corridor would be much more helpful for creating a thriving sunshine mile. We do not need more cars funneled into the downtown but we do need to create better acces for bikes a pedestrians.

Let's make a more bike, walkable community with the character of the Sonoran desert Tucson deserves.

I thought the nation is attempting to decrease the carbon footprint. I would think an electric train, and wider bike lanes might address that. ALSO, all that the traffic encouraged by the plan dumps out at Congress with two lanes. It is a congested mess currently. Maybe start there and move East on Broadway......

Stick to th agreement made with the communities. This mindless demolition of history serves no one, except the people getting, the money. Keep the agreement of 2015.

Just because something was thought to be a good idea years ago DOES NOT mean it is still a good idea now...to follow thru on this is wasteful and destructive to our community.....please be a smart responsive government......I am on Broadway in this corridoe 6 days a week...thete is no need for this expansion...traffic is getting less all the time.

a number of occupied homes will be lost and families displaced if the widening occurs, for what it's worth

IN the name of "doing something," the City Council is using widening Broadway to replace the will of the people to keep the vibrant history of the area in tact; encouraging using Broadway for public transit, walking and safe biking.

Why does Tucson continue to cater to the drivers. We're supposed to be supporting alternative transportation rather then promoting driving cars. And, as you know, traffic has not increased on Broadway. Spend the money to supporting more public transportation, increase bike safety and decrease the bicycle deaths and injuries caused by cars (when riding my bike or walking, as I do at least 5 days a week, almost every time I'm riding or walking I encounter drivers who do not stop at crosswalks, etc.
Again, stop supporting car drivers and show more support for alternative transportation, please.
