Why can't we just add sidewalks and add bike lanes where needed along Broadway.

There needs to be a common sense board - this lacks logic. I've never thought it should be widened. Grant- yes. Broadway - no.

Spending that amount of money there accomplishes nothing. Better projects like decent sidewalks along all long both sides of Broadway from Euclid to at least Pantano for pedestrians and the disabled.

Widening Broadway is unnecessary and the design is flawed; it does not capture any imagination of the future.

Widening only down the the already existing slowdown at the underpass will not solve the problem - focus more on the part from Euclid West past the underpass.

Stop wasting money. Let the people decide how our money is to be spent.
Let's maintain what we have instead of building more that needs to be maintained.

This widening of Broadway has been opposed by our Sam Hughes Neighborhood Assn. board since 2005, and will destroy historic buildings and homes.

We should not be building wider roads at a time when we should be minimizing the use of fossil burning vehicles, and encouraging the use of public transportation and bicycles and walking.

Improve city bus service. Build sidewalks. Improve bike lanes. Improve the existing streets. Add traffic signals.

Broadway is fine as it is. Please don't waste $75 million that could be better utilized. There is no justifiable need for demolishing buildings and businesses and a part of Tucson dear to many of us. Don't repeat what Tucson did to the barrio. Please!

By simply changing the traffic light/timing patterns on Broadway would alleviate a lot of the traffic congestion. No need to widen Broadway. I agree; we need to think of our future and change old patterns of behavior.
