Develop Historic Broadway NOT wastefully widen the roadway

This money could be used for better things, and improve the area in another way.

take a deep breath and work on a more viable, long-term plan to address our transit woes. This is too much for too little.

Hear what your citizens are telling you. Not all past decisions were good decisions. Be humble enough to admit a mistake was made and change it.

Totally against the widening - just not necessary. Here's a thought - Why not put that money to better use and fix our streets! Too many potholes is dangerous to our pedestrians and bikers, not to mention the damage it does to our vehicles.

Let's try to find a solution that the community affected can support. It doesn't get more local than that!

Our city's architectural heritage is more valuable than this road widening which is not needed and is wasteful.

Although I am relieved and delighted that the 30% plan spares the buildings on Broadway that back up against our residential property, I still question whether there is any real need for widening the road. We have seen that 25 year old traffic projection justifying this widening have not come to pass, the project is expensive, the decease in projected travel time is minuscule, and most of all it will entail the destruction of structures contributing to the historic designation of Rincon Heights. Please develop a plan that will promote mass transit, pedestrian and bicycle travel only, while preserving and highlighting the mid-century modern architecture on Broadway.

You won't even help pave out existing roads, you say no money. Another Tucson boondoggle!

Let's value the existing structures on the Sunshine Mile and continue to honor and preserve its mid-century Modern roots!

I do not agree with the proposed plan to widen Broadway. I live close to Broadway it is the closest major street to my house.

Keep the history and places people love and they will get out of their vehicles more. Once gone, it is lost forever.

I was born in Tucson 60 years ago! I dream of a Tucson that preserves and honors its history and respects and cares for all its people! LSA!

This is a waste of money - we need walkable streets, not more cars!

There will be cost over runs that the COT will have to pay for. There is not near enough money allocated. Cut down to what we can afford

Demolishing has been a stain on the history of Tucson in the 20th century - Barrio Viejo and turning the ruins of San Agustin into a dump. Lets not set a poor destructive precedent for the 21st !
