Develop Historic Broadway NOT wastefully widen the roadway

This is an outdated plan, please don't become outdated leadership.

Please reconsider this idea as it is a waste of resources.

Why widen this when you're already widening Grant Road? I'm sure you can find many more useful purposes for my tax dollars, including filling potholes and taking better care of the roads we have.

Keep Tucson smart, not another Phx

As we face a changing climate and hotter temperatures in the future, we need to develop our city to adapt to those changes. Widening Broadway is the wrong type of development, as it prioritizes and facilitates car travel. Instead, we should invest in infrastructure that improves public transportation, carpooling, and biking. Not only will this lighten the congestion of our streets but mitigate some of the effects of climate change. Make a decision that's forward-thinking not shortsighted, and do NOT widen Broadway. Invest in sustainable, more innovative urban development and transportation projects that make for a happier, healthier Tucson.

This is a HUGE waste of money and will change the character of one of Tucson's important thoroughfares for the worse. The residential and commercial architecture of this area is uniquely Tucson. To lose it to build more generic developments and to fix a nonexistent traffic problem would devastating. If anything, direct the money towards a 2nd streetcar line down Broadway.

Our community has a unique character which we all cherish. Historic Broadway is cost effective, more sustainable, and contributes to Tucson's character.

As a business owner on the the stretch of Broadway scheduled, I oppose the widening and the demolition of the 30+ building. I attended many of the meetings, and I absolutely disagree the City's alignment and excessive widening. We should not widen Historic Broadway Blvd. We should not destroy our historic buildings. We do not want a disruptive thoroughfare destroying our urban area. I absolutely oppose the City's current alignment.

Too much money for knee-jerk car accomodation, when it's the alternatives that need support from all of us.

Induced congestion is still rife in the TDOT not considering the many impacts of the results of another unneeded widening. We should start with the money. is any coming out of the (in the red) general fund now or potentially into the future? You should immediately terminate this project.

This widening would have a negative impact on Tucson, and is not needed. I’ve lived on 7th & Sawtelle for 35 years and if anything the traffic and congestion on Broadway has diminished.

Please really think before you act!!

As a native of Tucsonan and concerned citizen, please do not move forward with the road widening on Broadway.

I think the road will be more convenient for locals and drivers...more better to have safe exit route for local bus stops as well for community people. ..for safe access for handing caps. Thanks!

I'm a mid-town homeowner for whom Historic Bdwy Blvd is a destination, where I shop, bank, exercise, catch a snack, and browse. I depend on being able to get ACROSS Bdwy safely - whether as a pedestrian or bicyclist or motorist - not just zip down it only to face hopeless traffic confusion once I get past the Bdwy underpass.

More road-widening madness... a hideous disease in this city.

Really? I thought we'd already made the wise decision. Who will this benefit, anyway? Certainly not the community and small businesses of Tucson.

This is simply a waste of public resources that are desperately needed for other purposes.
