Develop Historic Broadway NOT wastefully widen the roadway

I have lived very close to Broadway for the past 16 years, and have never known it to be congested. It seems like Golf Links/Aviation Highway took care of any traffic problem that may have existed previously. I can think of many other roads in Tucson that would be much more appropriate to widen. Please do not use our resources to "fix" a problem that doesn't really exist. Perhaps a beautification project to enhance this major route into downtown would be a better use of the funds. Thank you!

tucson has one of the highest carbon foot prints and poverty rates in the country. our government continues to make the city uglier, poorer, and more vehicular.

At the very least, wait until the Aviation Expressway extension is completed to determine if that reduces traffic on Broadway.

Why increase the traffic towards downtown when it is a bottle neck moving through there east to west. Grant road will be wide enough for both east/west corridors. Stop the nonsense of this project and save the money!!

If your name is among the more than 1200 signatures on this petition, it's time to take one more step to ensure that all of our voices are heard loud and clear. If at all possible, please attend the April 5 Mayor and Council meeting at 5:30 p.m. It's important to note that THE VENUE HAS CHANGED to accommodate the expected turnout, The meeting will be held in the Board Room inside the Pima County Admin building, 130 W. Congress. See you there!

I am appalled by the corporate takeover of downtown Tucson, as well as near the University. Respect the beauty of older parts of town.

Paving existing roads so that visitors who come every couple of years do not say "Gee, haven't your roads been fixed yet?" is where our money should be spent.

I would love to see Downtown be walk and bike only....stop making it a highway extension of I-10! More public transit and bikeways...less auto! More solar...make AZ all solar and all composting toilets!

Please listen to us, the people who are your constituents. Our community has suffered deeply in the past with so-called urban renewal schemes. A handful of people with power have enacted their plans for "growth" with disastrous consequences. We the citizens MUST decide what is best for our city.

This proposal is based on an outdated model of growth and passed by voters many years ago . Just because you have the money to do this does mean it is the right thing to do

I agree wholeheartedly. This plan keeps moving us more and more into the past. Let's design for a more abundant future. Sustainable and unique communities are the ones that will thrive!
