Develop 16th/18th and Peoria

Please develop this site for the good of the neighborhood.

This space is currently a broken glass, weed filled neighborhood hazard. At night, cars filled with folks from outside of Pilsen or University Village park around the block...trading joints (at the least), loud music and bringing their conflict to our neighborhood. Bringing homes, art, green space and jobs to the space that is currently a black hole can only be good!

Develop the lot at 16th/Peoria to create jobs and density on this empty waste of space

Please build normal market value residence at the site.

The proposed development sounds great

Please approve this project. It seems as though the developers have done a marvelous job of listening to the needs of the community and compromising on their design/plans. I live in Pilsen and would 100% support this project as they've most recently proposed.

Pilsen resident

This is progress. No one person or one group can lay eternal claim to a piece of land. We're talking about developing an empty lot near the downtown of the 3rd largest city in one of the largest nations on Earth; if it's not going to be a public part, I'd take $10,000,000 townhomes over $700/month apartments any day. If you want a piece of the land, buy it. If you can't afford it, Chicago is huge and there's a number of empty lots just looking for buyers.

21% affordable units meets the Pilsen mandate. Construction, property and retail jobs for the community. Discounted rent if hire from the community. Amenities for the community such as dog park, green space (scarce in Pilsen) and public art. Much needed density to a desolated area. How is that not a good compromise for the community? 100% affordable is not going to happen, so Pilsen alliance request shouldn't even be on the table.

This is a much needed project with plenty of compromise that benefits ALL the neighbors that surround this parcel. Neighborhoods flow one into another without hard borders. We are all residents of CHICAGO.

This will only help the area by bringing in people and jobs into the community. Activity breds activity. Great area will only get better.

please develop this eyesore already....

As far as the Mexicans are concerned about gentrification, apparently they have absolutely forgotten that neighborhood used to be Polish and Lithuanian before the Mexicans moved in, before them, the Czechs, before them the Irish and Germans who built that neighborhood. It's frustrating to here think that any nationality has the right to claim any neighborhood as just there own, if anything and most importantly gentrification does get rid of the gangbangers that used to run Pilsen, believe me i know !! I'm Mexican and i grew there and still live there

I own property near the site. I would love to see it be developed.

Pilsen needs density and intelligent use of this land. Solis does not have the best interests of the neighborhood.

Vacant land isn't doing anything for Pilsen

I live on 16th Street right next door. The 500 init plan was excellent.
