There are several sites suitable for a skate park in Derry. It would be a great attraction for young and older skaters that could also bring more visitors to the city with potential to host skate competitions. It is unfair that the young people of this city are missing out on a proper facility for their interests. They currently use Ebrington square and get moved on too frequently. Where are they supposed to go?! Ebrington is a big empty space that should be used to its potential!

A outdoor skateboard park would be ideal for kids or adults who like to go somewhere safe to practice skateboards, rollerblades, rollerskates etc. Kids and adults who play football, basketball, tennis, badminton, soccer, indoor Wall climbing, swimming, and navy more are all catered for with top of the range expensive facilities. It's about time other kids sports hobbies such as those initially mentioned are catered for too.
