I haven't skated in about 10 years and I really miss it. Starting it back up again now so it's amazing to hear a skate shop is opening in town. Hopefully this also comes to fruition!

I've been skating since I was a teenager. I'm 30 now. There is no reason not to build a skatepark, outdoor gyms have been built and taken away because they're not being used. A skate park will be used and will save people having to travel to letterkenny everyday for a skate.

I fully support this. If Belfast and Letterkenny, and many towns and cities can have one for years, why not Derry. There must be easy access to information how others manage skate parks.

The young people in this city are always left with the dregs of what this island has to offer. It’s a shame that local skateboarding enthusiasts dont have somewhere safe and secure to go to to practise their sport
