Please revert the meal plan back to how it was in the 2014-2015 academic year AT THE VERY LEAST. I can't express how frustrating the current plan is. It feels like I am constantly losing money and all the convenience of the old plan. I'm hungrier more often--not only are the times I can eat limited, but the products themselves that I can buy with the meal swipe are very few. In response to the thought that some people ran out of money early--that is because they were hungry and ate a lot of food! The new plan doesn't solve the issue of hungry students, it merely conceals it in that students cannot run out of meal swipes for the year. However, many of them are still consistently hungry between meals (the reason they ran out of money when it was on a declining balance system). I won't even go into the quality of the bon appetite food, which many students have a problem with. That's an entirely separate issue. But at least give me the freedom to get my money's worth for the food I payed for anyway! I have so much more I could go into and pick apart that makes this new plan horrible compared to it's predecessor, but I think I've made my point. Hopefully whatever administrator is responsible for the meal plan will hear the dissatisfaction across campus and do something about it.

I woke up at about 7:45 on Sunday and went to the Hub for dinner, used a meal swipe, and barely ate anything just because I DON'T want to waste my mother's money. I ended up going to McDonalds w/ my roommate because I was starving. Smh...

I loved the declining balance when i attended DePauw ('13) and was one of my main reasons for choosing this school over illinois wesleyan. I think this change is going to cause more problems than it's worth.

This meal plan is absolutely for the benefit of Bon Apetit. At least Sodexo cared about us.

I am an asset to this university but I am not among the wealthy on campus. Quit trying to take even more of my money and quit screwing me over by treating me like a child who cannot manage her own finances. I love this school more than anything else but this is ridiculous and, to be honest, insulting.

this is stupid, and I don't want to waste my time thinking when and how should I use my swipes.

I am displeased with the way in which we are essentially told where, when, and how much food we can buy. We need a simple money system, this is the 21st century, wake up.

The new meal plan does not at all accommodate athletes who travel on weekends. With 60% of the freshmen class being on athletic teams, this seems like many of those with meal plans are losing money. This new meal plan in no way benefits the students, but is clearly to keep Bon Apetit happy.

Bon Appetit has ruined DePauw for many students. By implementing swipes, they are stealing from students. Go back to the declining balance. Or give the option of that back to those who are able to manage their money like real adults should.

I've tried it, and it sucks. It's my money, let me decide how I use it!
Bon Appetít just can’t take it any more!
