Keep it as a site for housing as it was supposed to be. Sad...

If you can use the area for any kind of Veteran housing this should be done. Handicapped Veterans deserve better than the North Avenue disability housing they currently have. Disability housing for veterans is what this land should and could be used for.

I too worked as a student & volunteered escorting the residents to church/chapel in the late 70s & 80s. Our Daddy was a resident in the rehab during the 80s. It was a good facility back then & many of the residents lived out the remainder of their lives there. We were grateful Daddy was so close as we lived in Edgemere. He was fortunate to be able to come home.

As a veteran I support the government either developing the property ASAP or turn it over to the county for development. Keep in mind that roads need to be added so as to reduce the danger if there are responders that have to get in and out.

I worked there for years when it was up and running to full capacity. It was a beautiful place to see. It was designed and built for our Veterans and it rightfully belongs to our Veterans. They have and our still serving our Country and they should be rewarded for their sacrifice to make our Country a better, safer place for us Americans.
