This is a community where we want our water, air, and resources protected. Also this is a recreational area, and there will be a huge loss of income to this area, if not protected. Noone will want to live in or visit a huge manure pit, with dried up or contaminated wells, rivers, and desolate areas which were once beautiful forests with wildlife.

Not only would the Golden Sands Dairy be an environmental disaster, I would like to remind all the people voting on this issue of the 860 million dollars of direct spending from tourism in the 8 counties that comprise the Central Sands region in 2014. Contaminated water and foul air equals no tourism.

These CAFOs degrade the water quality of entire state for the profit of a few exploiters who contribute heavily to repubs - they never pay for the clean up and the DNR works for them

How many does it take to realize that these things are disaster waiting to happen.
I am an ex dairy farmer and this are NOT family farms.
They are corporate monsters that are ruining the rural areas of the state!

Please deny the permits for the Golden Sands Dairy. As a homeowner in Rome, WI we do not want our drinking water and lakes contaminated by the proposed CAFO.

In case the DNR under Cathy Stepp hasn't noticed, water is one of our most valuable resources. We need to save it, not squander and pollute it to let a corporate farm make a profit.

There is nothing good about CAFOs. They are inhumane to the animals they raise. They produce as much, if not more, animal waste as a city of 50,000 humans do and the waste from CAFOs are not treated through waste treatment plants. The waste is spread on area grounds that pollute the ground water. If an "accident" happens the manure can contaminate entire water ecosystems. Look what happened in Fillmore County, Wisconsin. A CAFO manure spill polluted area streams that empty into the Root River that empties into Lake Michigan. NO CAFO, period.
