Deny Loveland Ready Mix Proposed Pit, concrete Batch Plant, Concrete Crushing facility

As CSA members we feel that Ready Mix’s proposal for a LaPorte Pit, Concrete Batch Plant, and Concrete Crushing facility is antithetical to the promotion of healthy sustainable organic produce. It can only be detrimental to the quality of food grown at Native Hill and is wholly incompatible with surrounding land and residences.

This is so not Fort Collins. Support organically grown food and sustainable agriculture.

Dear County Commissioner. As a citizen of Larimer county, I am very concerned about the Loveland Ready Mix proposed cement plant in Laporte. In addition to the plant reducing property values and decreasing the quality of life for citizens in the Laporte area, I am also concerned about my neighboring vegetable farm. As someone who supports the organic farm by purchasing and consuming their vegetables, I worry that the proposed plant will negatively impact the farm operation and the quality of the food grown on the organic farm. I not only support the farm for their commitment to environmental stewardship, but also for the clean, healthy, local produce that they are able to provide for me and my family. If the proposed plant were to be permitted, I fear that I will loose access to this wonderful community resource. Please do not allow Loveland Ready Mix to build a cement batch plant or crushing operation in Laporte. The negative impacts for the community far outweigh the small financial gain for the company. Please reconsider your plans and location! We love Native Hill Farms and all they bring to the Fort Collins community, not just in terms of produce but in terms of their hard work and mission to keep bringing healthy home-grown food to the families of Fort Collins. This type of project needs to be done more remotely where it won't impact a couple/farm that still has their priorities in the right place! Thank you, Megan & Mark Anderson

There are better places for this heavy impact operation. Please look at more remote locations.

I support Native Hill Farm by purchasing and consuming their vegetables. The quality of the produce is outstanding and I feel good about feeding it to my family. I am very concerned that the proposed plant will negatively impact the farm operation and the quality of the food grown on the organic farm. This community needs clean, healthy, local produce. This plant should be located elsewhere if it absolutely must be built. The current plans endanger air and water quality for nearby neighborhoods and agriculture.

My family and I are members of native hill farm and we believe the development of the cement plant is not conducive to the healthy production of the organic food we value. Please relocate this plant to an industrial part of the area that is not in close proximity to farms and residential housing.

I have been a customer of Native Hill Farm, which is nearby the proposed plant, for more than 5 years and the farm is my family's primary source for vegetables. I am very concerned about the negative impact of the plant on the land and water in the Laporte area, and its impact on the people who grow the food I consider essential to my household.

I have been purchasing organic vegetables from Native Hill Farm for 6-7 years now. This farm is practically next door to where Loveland Ready Mix wants to build a batch plant and concrete crushing facility. Pls don't let that happen. I think it would greatly harm this sustainable organic farm land which provides the best produce in Northern Colorado, possibly the state, to hundreds of families in the area, both summer and winter.

The proposed plant will reduce my property values and decrease the quality of life for myself and my neighborhood. As someone who makes a livelihood selling organic produce to citizens in this county, I worry that the proposed plant will negatively impact the farm operation and the quality of the food grown on the organic farm. We as a farm have a commitment environmental stewardship, and to providing clean, healthy, local produce.  If the proposed plant were to be permitted, I fear that citizens will loose access to this wonderful community resource.  Please do not allow Loveland Ready Mix to build a cement batch plant or crushing operation in Laporte.  The negative impacts for the community far outweigh the small financial gain for the company.

I have lived in Laporte for 32 years and I truly love Laporte, my home, my trees, and the community (for those who FaceBook I hear that there is an “I Love Laporte” FaceBook page). Very few people received notification of this proposed operation in the center of Laporte directly north of the Plantorium (Larimer County only notified property owners within 1500 feet - .28 miles- of the upcoming community meeting to discuss the proposed operations). We need to pack the gym at Cache La Poudre Junior High on Tuesday March 7th at 6:30 pm. It breaks my heart to think about being forced to move if this operation happens since I have not found a better place to live. I will not be able to tolerate the change. I need peace and quiet that is filled with nature sounds. The concrete crushing will cause vibrations impacting foundations and probably my trees. Ground water changes will impact our crawl spaces, trees, and wells. Our neighborhoods are tired of mining companies not doing what they say they will do, and are very concerned about the silica pollution. Our community enjoys the moon and stars in the night sky (hardly anyone has outside lights), we open our windows to let fresh air in (most people do not have air conditioners). I do not want to be forced to move by a new inconsiderate neighbor who does not understand our ways, our history, and our love of our town.

Please deny this facility for a LaPorte pit. It is not compatible and would harm the quality of life for the neighborhoods and establishments in LaPorte.

I live in Laporte and the suggested plans would comprise quality of life for our community not to mention our Fort Collins neighbors to the north. I oppose this project.

In the interest of local farming do not allow this plant to be approved or built.

This proposed facility is not compatible with the adjacent and nearby neighborhoods.

This is completely counterintuitive with the quality of life we have in Fort Collins and Laporte and the reputation we hold as a healthy place to live and raise children. Fort Collins is consistently rated by many publications as being one of the best places to live in the US…this cement plant would not enhance that reputation but degrade it!

I care about local farming. This proposal does not benefit our Northern Colorado community. Deny this proposal.
