Deny Loveland Ready Mix Proposed Pit, concrete Batch Plant, Concrete Crushing facility

I live exactly one half mile due east of this proposed site on Farview Drive. We have lived here since 1984. There is already a new site for concrete operations just north of the hi-way 287 bridge over Taft Hill road, one quarter mile north from us, as well as the giant Martin-Marietta gravel and asphalt batching plant a mile south. Noise from machinery and roaring trucks abounds from these sites and the bike lanes are full of axle breaking cobbles, debris, loose gravel and mud from the incessant, often uncovered, truck traffic in and out of these sites. No one ever cleans up this mess! These current mining/mixing operations are bad neighbors that litter our roads (a major cause of broken windshields, bent rims, and environmental dust) pollute the air with diesel fumes, dust and asphalt stench, while decreasing travel safety with relentless truck traffic. Why on earth would anyone choose to permit MORE of this activity that will further adversely affect the area. Eventually the 287 corridor construction update will be over. Perhaps this new facility is being proposed for more conveniently damming the Poudre river in the near future? We need smart land use policies rather than policies of greed that will further lay to waste this threatened but beautiful piece of the Front Range. This land is better kept as rural open space/pastoral or low density housing land use than heavy industrial!

This is as incompatible a land use as it gets. The health, well being, and quality of life of residents is at stake. This does not serve the community of Laporte in any way and threatens many local business as well as home values. This should be conserved as open space farmland.

I do not live in Colorado, but will be moving there, since my son and family live there....My areas of choice are Fort Collins and La Porte,( which I think is a quaint, interesting small town). I do not think it wise to put a plant of any type that can impact the resident's health or well being, so close to communities that are already there. I am sad that I might have to rule out LaPorte in my home search, even though I think it is a really nice place to live. I am sure that there are many other areas, outside the general population areas where such a pit can be placed. Right in LaPorte, within a short distance to homes and the Elementary School ?? is unbelieveable.

Here we go again. This is completely incompatible with our community, just as the one that is still floating around out there, just to the north of this property. Allowing this would create a doorway for an even larger operation to go in just to the North, running all the way over to the bypass. Let's all let the County know we won't stand for this to happen in our neighborhoods.

This would adversely effect adjacent farmland. We should be trying to encourage and support local food producers.

The location of this batch plant is too close to the neighborhoods to make it compatible with keeping and building a thriving town.

A mining and concrete operation at very close proximity to working farm land will jeopardize the future of this very important farming operation.

As someone working on farmland commons closeby this proposed plant, I am very concerned about the health of people, animals and soil. This is not compatible us and potentially very detrimental to food production.

A concrete plant is not a compatible use in this area. It is far too close to residential neighborhoods and working agricultural land.

A concrete plant has no place next to a farm, much less a farm which leads the way for a new kind of agriculture which we so desperately need.

Please don't take or endanger farmland in this area by putting concrete batch plant here!
