There are plenty of concrete plants in the immediate area that could be used or expanded. I don't want to see a new plant next to a wonderful organic farm.

Sixteen years ago, my wife and I made a choice to settle in Larimer County and felt that it was the right place for us to set roots and create our family. The local community, along with its resources and amenities are important to us. As a citizen of this community, I am very concerned about the Loveland Ready Mix cement plant that has been proposed to be located in LaPorte. Our family relies on the organic produce that is grown adjacent to the proposed concrete plant and crushing facility. We feel strongly that this proposed concrete operation will negatively effect not only the LaPorte community due to the incessant noise pollution, but will also negatively impact those of us in Fort Collins and Northern Colorado who rely on the farms in that area that provide many of us with the cleanest and highest quality organic produce that can be found. Please do not allow Loveland Ready Mix to build a cement batch plant or crushing operation in LaPorte.

Please do not allow the health, safely and quality of life in our community to be degraded. The proposed gravel pits, permanent crusher and cement plant will be directly next to the community of Laporte and a school and dense housing areas. I worked on the road and reservoir on Cameron pass in the 70s, and I know the intense noise level of the the crusher. Residents, including me, would have to wear ear plugs all the time, as do the crusher operators. The ears of the children and adults in the neighborhood would be very negatively impacted, as would the air, water, property values and quality of life in the community of Laporte. The neighboring organic vegetable farm, one of the most successful in the area, would most likely be forced out of business due to the negative environmental effects of the facility. There is no way this proposed industrial operation should be allowed in a dense housing area, and so close to a school. The health and welfare of the community is so much more important than the financial gains of one company. PLease deny this request and do not allow the heath, safety, and quality of life of our community to be destroyed. Thank you!

As a citizen of Larimer county, I am very concerned about the Loveland Ready Mix proposed cement plant in Laporte. In addition to the plant reducing property values and decreasing the quality of life for citizens in the Laporte area, I am also concerned about my neighboring vegetable farm. As someone who supports the organic farm by purchasing and consuming their vegetables, I worry that the proposed plant will negatively impact the farm operation and the quality of the food grown on the organic farm. I not only support the farm for their commitment to environmental stewardship, but also for the clean, healthy, local produce that they are able to provide for me and my family. If the proposed plant were to be permitted, I fear that I will loose access to this wonderful community resource. Please do not allow Loveland Ready Mix to build a cement batch plant or crushing operation in Laporte. The negative impacts for the community far outweigh the small financial gain for the company.

Please do not approve the proposed concrete plant in the center of LaPorte. Also, we, as do so many community members, receive much of our food from Native Hill Farm, located next to the proposed site. This would be devastating to this small, family owned farm. Thank you.

This proposal does not fit into the neighborhood. I am a member of the nearby CSA, which would be negatively impacted. Please deny this proposal based on neighborhood concerns.
