please stop this effort. there is lots of food grown around there.

Dangerous for la Porte population breathing, lots of data to support this. Block this.

This proposal clearly goes against the development plan and guidelines of this unique rural / agricultural community. Absolutely unacceptable.

A concrete plant 500 feet from downtown?

This space for the production of clean, safe food must be protected.

Quality of life for residents should override greed and growth.

We strongly oppose any industrial development in the LaPorte area. This is a rural agricultural area.

Surely there are other places to do this. Is this something that is really needed?

There are so many obvious negatives to this proposal, and absolutely no positives for our community. The proposed plant would dirty our air, increase noise levels (already high due to city of Greeley construction in the area), and threaten our local farms. NO NO NO

Are you kidding! This property sits smack dab in a populated area! Mining gravel, crushing material, noisy major traffic -- NO WAY! Hey the Poudre River goes all the way to Greeley and beyond -- find another lesser populated location for your business -- down stream.

I am a Laporte resident and strongly oppose this proposal. I have young children growing up in this neighborhood and worry about air quality. I buy and eat produce from the local, sustainable farms in this area and worry about soil pollution. I travel CR54G and worry about an increase in traffic that these roads would not safely support. The soil, air, traffic, noise, and light pollution do not serve this residential area. Please oppose this proposal. It is not the right location for a cement facility.

This is IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD, OUR TOWN. Would you want this across from your house, quiet business, or retirement community? I can not believe the site that has been suggested. You will devastate our peaceful nook in an ever louder and chaotic world. Please don't change the culture and history of this area. It is special to so many of us and would affect local families, businesses, and property owners in a negative way. It can not be worth the big dollar to place this loud, large, disturbance within our small community. Please try. There must be other open areas away from our town. I am not big business. I am local. I have supported this community, my community, for nearly two decades. I am raising my children here. What does Laporte stand to gain from this proposal? And, at what loss? The noise alone is unimaginable and will be heard throughout the quiet neighborhoods. The dust with our strong winds will cause health problems. Please deny this proposal and do not let this idea go any further. Save my peace of mind for my young children who understand why we bought into our local CSA. Other than offering a political activism lesson for my kids and a cause to fight against, I can not thank you.

Please account for the farm next door that provides much for our community and needs clean air and water.

We live nearby and have already experienced the very negative and toxic affects from the Martin Marietta plant. We absolutely DO NOT support another industrial plant being put in this part of town.

Beside the pollution this facility will produce the over 350 heavy truck trips in and out of the facility will be unacceptable to the movement and safety of our residents and visitors that travel CR54G daily. Not a good option for a major travel artery.

This should not be anywhere near residential areas. Harmful. Shameful.

Building this type of facility in this location makes no sense given the nature of the surrounding community. We are already dealing with the noise, traffic, and harmful emissions from the Martin Marietta asphalt plant a short distance to the south on Taft Hill Road, and this proposed facility would further compromise the quality of life and health of those living near it, not to mention its harmful affects on Native Hill Farm, the organic farm adjacent to the proposed facility that provides quality produce for many in the surrounding area. I urge you to deny this proposal and show that you value the rights of the people of this area to a quiet, clean, and healthy neighborhood.

I have been buying produce from the Native hill farm stand for several years and appreciate the healthy food and convenience offered in LaPorte. Recently I learned of the plans to mine gravel and mix cement next to the farm and am concerned about how these operations will impact the quality of crops grown here. Have any studies been completed showing chemical analyses of the cement products and possible routes of soil contamination due to runoff, etc?
