A progessive city and no radio station to support it?

This switch to sports by KPOJ was just a way to deny the public of an alternate viewpoint.

Who owns the airways? Local/National Progressive talk is essential to democracy.

I miss fairness in Portland.

The same thing nearly happened in Madison, WI. Basically, the radio station is lazy and sports advertising is easy (and stupid), with great cross-over with Limbaugh so they'd rather be lazy than actually work.

The community is without a valuable resource that provided insight into our world events and the function of our government and citizens.

The ownership for this station should be denied their license, as it appears plain the prime intent of shutting down KPOJ's previous format was to shut down public discussion of liberal viewpoints.

I was a faithful listener to the old KPOJ, and still mourn its loss. Deny them their license. The sports format adds nothing to the public discourse, while eliminating the previous format took a huge chunk of public discourse away.

They do NOT deserve renewal. It was a vindictive move, following Twit Hominys' disastrous performance in the election.

Portland needs a liberal point of view to reflect the majority of the area residence. There are more than adequate sports radio options. Give us back our KPOJ!
